Best Gaming PC Build Under Rs. 40,000 In India- Ryzen Build 2018

If you are planning to build a gaming pc and are restricted to a budget of Rs. 40,000, then this PC build guide will help you build the best gaming PC under 40000 rupees. This build will perform a lot better than the Rs. 30,000 Gaming PC Build, which you can read here.

This machine can handle games like Fortnite, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of legends, Fortnite and DOTA 2 in 1080p without any hiccups. Also, AAA titles like GTA 5 should perform pretty well. 60 FPS is easily achievable by tweaking your graphics settings. The primary focus of this build is to extract as much gaming performance as possible for your money, without focusing on any fancy features that you probably will never use.
All the components that you will need to assemble the best gaming PC under 40000 rupees in India are listed below along with Amazon buy links, so that you can get them delivered to your doorstep without any fuss. Also, not everyone has a PC component shop near their houses.
For comparison, I have included average price of all the components from Nehru Place, New Delhi in the end. Nehru Place is the largest wholesale and retail IT market in India. All the components are Amazon fulfilled which means if any of components is faulty you can easily replace them within 10 days.
Read the conclusion part to get a better idea of this build and some tips if you willing to spend a bit extra. So make sure you read this build guide until the end.

1.) CPU- AMD Ryzen 3 1200

Until last year CPU market was dominated by Intel, then AMD launched its Ryzen lineup of CPUs. They were an instant hit and forced Intel to step up its game. Ryzen 3 1200 is true quad-core CPU with a base clock of 3.1 GHz and a boost clock of 3.4 GHz.  And the best part is it is unlocked i.e it can be overclocked, provided you have a motherboard that supports it. All the Ryzen CPUs support XFR(Extended Frequency Range) and Precision Boost technology, These technologies boost the clock speed of CPUs automatically, depending on cooling performance and CPU workload. Learn more about Ryzen 3 1200 here.

2.) Motherboard- Gigabyte A320M HD2

We will go for a motherboard with budget A320 chipset. Gigabyte A320 HD2 is a great budget choice it comes with all the basic features that you’ll ever need. You can buy any A320 motherboard from any reputable brands like Asus, Gigabyte, MSI or Asrock depending on pricing and availability. All these motherboards have an almost similar specification. All of them have 2 RAM slots. Which can support up to 32GB RAM, clocked up to 3200MHz. 4 SATA ports for your hard disk drives and DVD drives (if you till use them :p).

NOTE– In order to overclock a Ryzen CPU you would need to buy a more expensive B350 or X370 motherboard. But since we are on a tight budget, we have chosen an A320 motherboard which doesn’t allow overclocking. If you are willing to pay RS 3,000 extra and squeeze some extra performance out of your CPU then go for a B250 motherboard like this one- Asus Prime B350M K.

3.) RAM- Crucial 8GB DDR4 2400MHz

RAM prices have recently skyrocketed due to global memory shortage. Last year I bought Kingston 8GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM stick for Rs 2700 but now they cost a whopping Rs. 7000. We really cannot cheap out on RAM as using less than 8GB memory is not at all a good idea for gaming, as it will result in micro stuttering.
Crucial 8GB DDR4 memory stick is a great value for money option. Clocked at 2133Mhz, it is sufficient for handling even AAA titles out there. Apart from Crucial, you can buy any DDR4 memory sticks from Kingston, Corsair, ADATA of G.Skill depending on pricing and availability.

4.) GPU- NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti

Just like RAM price, GPU prices have touched new heights thanks to it’s increasing demand in cryptocurrency mining. GPU is the most important component in a gaming rig. NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti is a great mid-level NVIDIA graphic card based on 10th generation Pascal architecture. Paired with Ryzen 3 1200, it can handle most games in 1080p gaming on medium-high setting at 60 FPS.

1TB is the bare minimum that you will need to store all your game library. There is nothing much to say about this HDD. Seagate has built a solid reputation for themselves in the reliability department. Being an Amazon Bestsellers you can’t go wrong with this HDD. You can also buy WD Blue 1TB HDD. It should be a no-brainer, just buy whichever one is cheaper.

Solid state drives can totally change your PC experience with faster boot time and faster game load time. But they are really expensive compared to a hard disk drive. So using both an SSD and a hard disk drive will give you best of both worlds. I highly recommend you get a solid-state drive. Install your OS, frequently used games and software on SSD and rest everything on HDD. But keep in mind installing games on an SSD will not increase its gaming performance in any way it will only decrease loading time by a great margin.

A power supply unit powers all the components in your system. If anything goes wrong with your PSU, it can seriously damage your entire rig. So cheaping out on the power supply is really a bad idea.  A 450W power supply is more than sufficient to power all the components in this rig. Being an Amazon Bestseller, Corsair VS450 is the best budget choice. I personally own a Corsair VS series PSU for the last 2 years and it is still working like a charm
The Corsair VS450 is a great and reliable choice if you’re building a gaming system with lower power demands also it is backed by a three-year warranty.

CPU Cabinet in no way helps in gaming performance as long as it has better airflow, so it all comes down to personal preference. Choose any cabinet from brands like Cooler Master, Circle, Deepcool, Corsair or Thermaltake.

TOTAL  Rs. 41,972 Rs. 40,400

At the time of writing this build guide, the above components are a great choice for building the best gaming pc build under 40000 Rupees in India. All the prices mentioned above may slightly vary from time to time. The price difference between Amazon and Nehru place is around Rs.1,500.  According to me, this price difference is justified considering the fact that Amazon can deliver your products almost anywhere and provides 10 days return policy. If you are willing to stretch your budget by Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 7,000 then upgrade your GPU to NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB. Even though it has less VRAM it has a higher number of CUDA cores compared to GTX 1050Ti resulting in better performance.
